Our approaches include:

  • Play-Based Therapy

    This is when a speech pathologist (SLP) plans speech and/or language activities around a play toy or activity. The SLP will create opportunities for the child to practice the target skill while enjoying motivating toys and activities that are relevant to the child’s interests.

  • Principles of ABA Therapy

    Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a data-driven technique; data is collected on target behaviors and analyzed, and therapy goals are developed based on the data collected. In skill-building, target cognitive or language skills are taught by breaking down skills into specific hierarchical steps. Repetition, reinforcement, and rewards are used to teach and increase a desired behavior/skill.

  • Oral Motor Therapy

    This therapy is a form of therapy that uses a variety of exercises to develop strength, coordination and mobility of the oral muscles.

  • SOS Feeding Approach

    Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) is an approach in feeding therapy that utilizes a systematic technique to address both the sensory processing and the oral motor skills a child needs to eat a wide variety of food groups and textures.

  • PROMPT Approach

    Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT) is a tactile-kinesthetic approach to speech therapy, meaning a speech-language pathologist manually guide a patient’s articulators-jaw, lips, vocal folds, and tongue-by targeting syllables, words, and phrases. This hands-on approach assists the client to plan, coordinate and produce speech sounds.

  • Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol

    The K-SLP methods shape a child’s best approximation of words toward full adult forms, and then into functional, expressive, and social language. It implements principles of motor learning and the principles of establishing, improving, or eliminating speech and language behaviors.
