NY & NJ Licensed Speech Language Pathologist

I’m a New York and New Jersey State Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, with 12+ years of experience working with children and their families.  I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from The American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities certificate (TSSLD) from the New York State Department of Education. I graduated from Kean University with a B.A. in Speech-Language and Hearing Science in 2006 and an M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology in 2009.

I specialize in treating the unique needs of infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children with speech and language disorders, oral motor deficits, feeding difficulties, and sensory disorders. I’ve provided pediatric therapy services for the NYC Early Intervention Program, the New Jersey Early Intervention System, several specialized schools, as well as the NYC Department of Education.

I specialize in the communication development of infants and toddlers. I have treated children with a variety of communication difficulties including apraxia, articulation/phonological disorders, dysfluencies, hearing loss, oral motor deficits, auditory processing, behavior modification, receptive and expressive language disorders as well as feeding difficulties.  I have extensive training in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorder and follow the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).  I also have experience using the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Kaufman Protocol Training, and I am PROMPT trained (Level I). My proficiency in Italian and Spanish enables me to meet the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse populations.  On a personal level, I am a mother of three boys and I fully understand the needs and concerns of both children and their families.
